Born in Brisbane Australia, with Italian roots, Joshua Roberto Scacheri understands the balance between Australian comfort and cutting edge Italian style.

At the age of 16, he packed up and moved to Italy to pursue a professional football career. Six years later, he returned to Australia and swapped ‘the boots’ for a sketchpad, creating the designs you now know as Subfusco.

Six years in Italy has had a huge influence on his style and Subusco . From the time he arrived in Italy, fashion became part of his blood. Not hard to believe – the Italians have an amazing sense of style and are always dressed for the occasion. Pride in the way they look is the name of the game.

Joshua is a young emerging Brisbane fashion designer with an array of fashion awards and successes already behind him. His work ethic and strong label foundations are quickly catapulting him into the Australia fashion arena, making him of the hot topics of the national fashion scene.

Latin for deviated colour, Subfusco’s classic with an edge style captures European style with Australian cutting edge features.

Attention to detail is an essential part of the design method for Joshua, with each pattern tweaked to give a perfect fit on the body, Quirky & but minimal details on neck lines, pockets and collars combined with fabrics and colour choices gives Subfusco a point of difference which makes this label stand out from the rest.
