After only two days in store, the Josh Goot for Target collection has proven to be a great success, with flagship stores almost selling out of some of the range’s highlight pieces.
The introduction of Josh Goot for Target proved to be an orderly affair, expelling the hysteria that surrounded the Stella McCartney for Target launch and Target is thrilled with the results, saying that it has exceeded sales expectations thus far.
“We’re extremely proud of the range that Josh Goot has done for us” says Target General Manager Womenswear, Larice Lewis.
“Customers have been coming into our stores in an orderly fashion, trying the garments on before making their purchases, and are leaving delighted by the style, fabric, cut and price of Josh’s collection. She says “After only two days in store, we’ve sold almost 30% of stock nationwide; a fabulous result given that we only launched on Tuesday, and have still got late-night trading and the weekend coming up.”

The Josh Goot for Target collection, was launched on Tuesday in 60 Target stores nationwide, featuring racer back tanks, leggings, pencil skirts, cardigans and blazers, easy dresses for everyday and evening, as well as Josh’s famous jersey trench coat, and is priced from $59.99 and $129.99.
“I'm very proud of the results we've achieved already. It reflects the belief, hard work and dedication of everyone involved, and I'm pleased customers are enjoying the range." Says Goot.

The customer response reveals that the must-have items from the range are the silver racer-back dress, leggings and trench coats. “Given the pleasing customer reaction already, I suggest customers get in quick so they don’t miss out” says Lewis.
The Stella McCartney for Target collection launched on the Labour Day public holiday in March throughout 100 stores nationwide, and was Target’s first international designer collection. Stella McCartney for Target followed on from the highly successful Spring Designers for Target collections released in October last year featuring leading Australian designers Alice McCall, TL Wood and Tina Kalivas. |
