I have just discovered Lexie B Designs, an American business which has created an innovative line of accessories for “that time of the month”.

TOMtotes are small material totes that you can store your tampons or pads in. They are discreet, making it impossible for anyone to know what’s inside.

The TOMtotes come in a range of fashionable designs, and each ties with a pretty ribbon. I found them to be a good size, they fit easily into a handbag (even a small evening clutch). Your sanitary products can now be neat and in place, no need to go rummaging in your bag to find a tampon.

I love this idea as I know a lot of young women would prefer to be subtle, and because they come in fun, bright colours they are very appealing.

Depending on size, you could probably fit two pads or tampons in each. I don’t know why I haven’t seen these before; every woman needs at least one! They are a simple yet highly effective design.
