Remington Wet2Straight Nano Gold Straightener

WHAT WE THOUGHT

Remington’s new Wet2Straight, the limited edition Nano Gold Straightener is designed for “quicker, kinder and longer lasting straightening.”

This is the first Wet2Straight system I have used, and was intrigued by the concept. The combination of the hairdryer and traditional straightening irons is time consuming, especially for long hair.

I find I often don’t have enough hands to successfully blow dry my hair, as well as the fact my hair is naturally very curly and blow drying makes my hair extremely dry. My general method is letting hair dry naturally before straightening with a hair straightener.

It is hard to get your head around the idea of using a hot straightening iron on wet hair, but I was pleasantly surprised by the initial results. My hair was straighter, and felt noticeably silkier. As with any kind of straightening system, it is important to use proper haircare, and products to be used with iron work is recommended.

The sound the Wet2Straight makes on wet hair is strange at first, but it’s a good indicator of when the hair is actually dry, just be careful not to get your hands near the steam holes as it is quite hot. Includes varying temperatures, and the on/off switch is in a good location so you can’t bump it and accidentally turn it off – which has happened to me many times with other straighteners.

It heats up quickly, and the combination of ceramic, tourmaline ionic and Teflon certainly makes it kinder to your hair.

There is an obvious improvement in the look and feel of my hair, and a huge time saver – no sitting around with wet hair. I also found that hair remained straighter for longer. The new Nano Gold Wet2Straight comes with a handy protective bag, for easy storage.

If you prefer to use it on dry hair, you will still experience excellent results.

After a month’s usage I am still extremely happy with the results, and I will continue using it and report back with any longer term effects. Well done to Remington for a unique product that many women will place on their “must have” list.
