Dragonfly is a south eastern, Asia-pacific fashion label by cutting-edge designer and fashion innovator My Khuu.
Working from her premises ‘The Region’ West End Miss My draws inspiration and ideas from Japanese Anime and Western Animation when constructing patterns for her label.
My, breathes new life and a spirit of adventure into vintage textiles and time-honored designs all the while inspired by curiosity and imagination.
Utilizing both contemporary and traditional eastern sewing techniques, she pieces together woven silks, linens, and cottons into stylish modern designer collections.
Dragonfly reveals a child-like and innocent fondness for fantastical themes and places that encourage a sense of desire and wonderment.
In this collection carefully chosen textiles and primitive Neolithic motifs are skillfully matched and sewn to create harmonious and versatile out-fits that can be worn and transformed to meet the requirements of various eminent occasions.
The women’s apparel, sensuous and fine possesses a playful elegance, with a modern edge that liberates the collection from traditional patriarchal roles and conventional formalist expectations.
All Dragonfly pieces are hand cut, sewn and personally finished. The numerous hours spent on manual work makes each piece invaluable.
