For breast cancer research

As part of Mount Franklin’s Diamond partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), Australia’s favourite bottled water brand is turning pink for charity and hoping to raise a total of $250,000* towards the prevention and cure of breast cancer.

Mount Franklin’s ‘Positive Thinking - Love, Life, Hope’ initiative will help raise funds for the NBCF through www.thewellofpositivity.com. For every positive message added to the well, Mount Franklin will donate $1** to the NBCF.

The Mount Franklin product range will also raise awareness by turning pink in October, with the PET bottles featuring inspirational quotes from breast cancer survivors, whilst the shapely blue glass bottles, Mount Franklin Lightly Sparkling 250mls, will showcase NBCF Ambassador-inspired designs from popular Australian personalities and a survivor who have all been touched by breast cancer – NBCF Ambassadors Kim Watkins (9am with Dave and Kim presenter), Sara Groen (Channel 7 weather presenter), Bianca Dye (NOVA radio presenter) and breast cancer survivor Amanda Maltabarow.

Sara Groen is honoured to be involved and share her experience: “My mum's battle with breast cancer was a challenging journey, but ultimately one of hope and love. I believe the designs reflect this optimism, while raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research and spreading a message of hope for those touched by breast cancer.

In addition to the NBCF Ambassador-designed bottles Mount Franklin has joined forces with Westfield’s ‘What’s What’ campaign to further the awareness and fund raising opportunities for the initiative. A stylish tote bag featuring the designs from Bianca Dye and Sara Groen will be available from September to November for $9.95 at selected Westfield Fashion Hubs, with all profits going directly to the NBCF.

Sara Groen:

“Being touched by breast cancer through my mum has made me appreciate simple moments and time with loved ones. Facing the unknown taught me to let go, embrace each day, and also realise the importance of early detection, continued research, and education.”

Bianca Dye:

“There is no such thing in anyone’s life as an unimportant day. Life is there to be enjoyed and lived. If there is one key message I would like get across to everyone it is the importance of early detection.”

Kim Watkins:

“Life is a journey filled with unknown possibilities, hence why the most important thing in my life is my family and the love I share with them. I’m very protective and make sure that every moment brings happiness and joy.”

Amanda Maltabarow:

“Tell people you love how important they are. Even if they already know it, tell them again.”
