I always thought comfortable shoes were limited to sneakers and uggboots, and that anything else required time to get worn in. ECCO Shoes were so confident of their comfort advantage that I was challenged to wear a pair for three days in a row and see for myself. Their new Spring / Summer 2009 collection consists of coloured ballet style shoes, classic Mary Janes and strappy sandals - cute styles you would be wearing anyway!
I decided on the ECCO Groove Sandals in Bison (RRP $189.95), they are ideal for relaxed summer days and the brown is a softer alternative to black. When I slipped them on they were a perfect fit, and in order to test the comfort, a day browsing the shops was in order. On my feet for most of the day, when I arrived home they didn't hurt...no blisters or soreness and I was in no hurry to take them off.
Maybe not that remarkable, but the test would be the second and third days. Once again for day two I popped them on in the morning and wore them for the entire day, still no signs of sore feet. Day three was also a success, the leather straps didn't rub and the cushioning on the soles helped to prevent any aching. The moisture from your feet is also circulated, so there are no embarrassing odours.
The challenge may have been only for three days, but I love these shoes so much I have continued to wear them even after the trial.
The most comfortable yet cute shoes on the planet?
