Women everywhere look to celebrities for hair inspiration, and it’s no surprise that women in the spotlight get it right so often when they have the best hairdressers and money at their disposal.
In a time when people are beginning to choose their own fashions, and avoid extreme trends, hair has become a way to express ourselves and adds the finishing touch to any look. No matter how good you feel in your clothes, if you have bad hair it can make you feel miserable.
So which looks do hairdressers love the most, and who should we be looking at for ideas? Marcus Edward from Marcus Edward Concept Salons is a fan of Scarlett Johansson’s hairdo.
He says “Her blonde tones are always clean looking with soft deeper tones coming through to break up her look. The cut is a classic, soft feminine style which looks good both curled with movement, or sleek and straight.”
Sofia Vergara also has perfect hair which gets people talking; Marcus says “Her hair colour is a dark chocolate with almost black tones. It is long and sleek looking, but also has movement and shape. It isn’t straight and blunt but it has a slight V shape through the back length.”

Another celebrity who doesn’t seem to go a step wrong with her hairstyle is Angelina Jolie, she knows what works for her face and skintone and works with it. Marcus says “Angelina’s colour is beautiful chocolate tones and always looks shiny, healthy and sexy. Her hair is very feminine with lots of movement.”
Rihanna is also someone to keep an eye on with her ever-changing do. The pop star is a fashion trendsetter and right now her hairstyle is a sleek bob with a long fringe - a common request at hair salons.
Of course, the obsession with Posh and Katie doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. When we asked Marcus which hairstyles he gets asked to copy the most he replied, “Victoria Beckam and Katie Holmes.”
